Overview
Pinliyo is a personal travel-memory app. You can log countries, cities, statuses, trips, dates, notes, share preferences, and visual exports. We do not sell personal data, and Pinliyo does not use third-party advertising in the app.
Store privacy forms and this policy should stay aligned with the app's actual data practices whenever features change.
Data we collect
Account and profile data
Pinliyo uses Firebase Authentication to create a user id and keep your map attached to your account. If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, the app may receive basic account information from that provider. Profile details you add, such as a display name, handle, avatar, language, and settings, are stored with your account.
Travel map data
We store the travel information you choose to add, including countries, cities, travel statuses, dates, notes, tags, ratings, trips, stops, budget items, packing items, and share privacy preferences. This data syncs through Firebase services so your map can be available across launches and devices.
Photos and location
Pinliyo asks for photo or location permission only when you use a feature that needs it, such as photo import or current-location logging. Photo import reads location metadata from selected or permitted photos to suggest places. Current-location logging uses device location to resolve the place you are in. These permissions are optional and can be changed in your device settings.
Purchases
Pro purchases are processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. Pinliyo receives subscription and entitlement status, product identifiers, and purchase validation information needed to unlock Pro. Pinliyo does not receive your full payment card details.
Device and service data
Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google may process technical information needed to provide authentication, hosting, cloud storage, purchase validation, abuse prevention, and service reliability. Trip reminders are scheduled on your device when you enable them.
How we use data
- Save and sync your travel map, profile, trips, and settings.
- Show maps, globes, stats, timelines, widgets, and share cards.
- Unlock, restore, and manage Pinliyo Pro access.
- Support optional features such as photo import and current-location logging.
- Protect the service, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations.
Your choices
- You can edit or remove travel entries inside the app.
- You can change optional permissions in iOS or Android settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play.
- You can use in-app deletion/reset controls where available.

Security and retention
Pinliyo uses Firebase security rules and per-user account boundaries to protect stored map data. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to keep access limited to the account that owns the data.
We keep your account and travel data while your account is active or as needed to provide the app. Purchase records may be retained as required by app stores, RevenueCat, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
Children
Pinliyo is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through Pinliyo, contact us through the developer contact listed on the app store page.
Changes
We may update this policy as Pinliyo changes. The updated version will show a new last updated date and will be posted on this page.
